A Not-for-Prophets DisOrganization

Welcome to the P.I.G.S. website! PIGS is an (dis)organization of persons AND organizations- groves, circles, grottos, Clenches, Cabals, whatever- and 'lone wolves' (kittens, eagles, bears, moose, muskrats, rabbits, grumps, warthogs...). If you are 'Pagan' or 'Neo-Pagan', you're a prospective co-conspirator, merry meet!

This site is a PAGAN ministry to the 'local' Pagan/NeoPagan/Wiccan/Druidic community, with 'local' apparently proving to mean the English speaking portion of the Earth, not like we actually expected to get so much intrest from out of area (or so little from local folk), but that's the internet for you... so the name remains the same, but the mission field changes dramatically from our original expectations. As Lord And Lady will, so mote it be.

MOST of this site is actually INSIDE THE INNER COURTYARD, with a few exibits of intresting materials and resources located here in the outer courtyard. HINT it's DIFFERENT inside from more than 99% of all the other Pagan/Wiccan sites existing today, and you will see why when you go inside... just don't let it frighten you.

This is not exactly an organization. BOY, is this place not organized. You care to help some? In fact, although a few brave souls are writing in the wiki, or kindly permitting your host to place works there, at this time it's mostly a one man operation with several friends out in the field occasionally checking in, AND THAT'S FINE. Those who bother do so to share and explore our common love of The Devine and the sacred games it wants us to play. 'All acts of pleasure are my ritual', and some of them are just a tad odd. We like that. So does (s)he. Good enough. Play if you wish, spectate if you preferr, so mote it be. Peace.

This site mutates (FNORD!) without any schedule or apparent method to it's madness, and we affirm that this is unavoidably (if totally unknowingly) in PERFECT harmony with inscrutable Devine will, so check in regularly; at least once a week or so is recommended. The 'What's New' feature inside will show you which pages have changed inside within a week's time- or came into existance.

Strangely enough, we get NO harassment email, NONE, NOT ANY. This is likely because the script refuses to acept submissions which do not include a valid return email address- we think. In the past, harassment mail always came with no means to reply to the sender- (brave souls, what?) and infrequent at that. Ya think they finally figured out that such messages accomplish nothing good, or are they just cowards? Who can say... they could, but they chicken out. Suits us, good riddance.

we have an infrequent newsletter, 'PIGS-announce' which we use to sent out the occasional bullitin about this site or events we associate with. Here is the link to the signon/off page over at listville.net, where it is being hosted.

The harvest is in full swing, and you city folk don't knock it; it feeds you for the coming year. We call this Mabon.

OK, some of us want to do weddings, REALLY AND NO KIDDING LEGAL in the mundane world weddings. There are a number of legal hurdles to leap before you can do that legally, and have the wedding be offical and legal. BUT, you CAN be legally (!) ordained by the Universal Life Church who will ordain ANYONE, FOR THE ASKING, with no question of your faith or practices. ANYONE. A LOT of Pagans, NeoPagans, and Wiccans are taking advantage of this fact.

In fact, I even composed a B&W FORM suitable for printing out and Xeroxing(tm) and handing to people; after all, SOME people still do not have internet access. (shocking, I know... we should look into ways to do something about that...)

I ASKED CHURCH OFICERS TO INSPECT IT, AND THEY APPROVED IT AND APPRECIATED THE FREE ADVERTISING FOR THE CHURCH.
